“This year has been tough especially these last few months. We recently had a drop in our income and we are barely able to pay rent and the bills. For food we have to go to food pantries for help. This week my grandma got sick and is hospitalized. We don’t know how we will be able to get back on our feet after this. It would be helpful to bring a smile to my son on his birthday. “I am a single mom of three and care for my grandparents who adopted me when I was younger. (I call them my parents.) I’m only able to work 15 hours per week due to two of my children having a disability. I work part-time for the hospital and I attend college full-time (online). I also homeschool all of my children so that I’m able to ensure their education, resources, and support are top priority. I take them to ST, OT and Play Therapy 1-2x per week. We also must attend their numerous doctor appointments. I’ve been struggling financially lately since I had to reduce my hours.
